I was diagnosed with a mild depression that I just couldn’t seem to shake. My therapist recommended that I take anti-depressants (SSRI’s) but I knew that needed to be a last resort for me. When I phoned Elie, she said that acupuncture can help alleviate depression so I made the appointment. The day after my first treatment I already could feel the gloom start to lift and I had a sense of contentment that I hadn’t had in a long time. I’ve now had several appointments and I’m so pleased to report that I am no longer depressed and that my thoughts aren’t getting stuck in that dark spiral anymore.
I was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2009. My lifelong goal is to continue what I enjoy best; living a healthy, active lifestyle. Clinically, from a medical perspective my prognosis is great, yet I continued to struggle with chronic pain. My symptoms of fatigue and numbness have improved significantly since seeking treatment from Elie last Summer. I’ve incorporated dietary changes by following the Paleo diet, Chinese medicine, and weekly acupuncture. Diet & herbal supplements are energy driven, while acupuncture has gradually decreased chronic pain. Most of my symptoms have completely resolved. Following a breast cancer diagnosis in 2011, I started chemotherapy treatments at a local “state of the art” cancer research facility. Early into my treatment I recognized that supportive health care is not a part of traditional cancer treatment. With my body under assault from chemo, I knew I had to do something to balance the harsh effects. I began acupuncture therapy with Elie on a regular basis. After acupuncture treatments I consistently noticed a dramatic decrease in muscle pain, nausea, fatigue, and the neurotoxicity of chemo. Elie’s clinical expertise as well as her caring and supportive ways were incredibly helpful to me.
I want to tell you that my “frozen shoulder” was thawed by you and your amazing machine. It is 99% cured! It was amazing what you did and felt like you released the monster. Haven’t look back since yet realize I need to thank you!

My baby is born and the acupuncture was definitely the catalyst. It took about 24 hours to start active labor (after the labor-inducing acupuncture treatment), but I felt the momentum right when I left the appointment. You were amazing and really helped put me in a beautiful place.
What I love about acupuncture is that it transforms my inner experience. It doesn’t just “mask” the symptoms, it changes the need, it addresses the problem. It is done over time, but the changes are lasting.
