To schedule your first appointment, please call (503) 860 8998. During your first visit, your next three visits will be scheduled in house. After that, we encourage you to use our online scheduler to schedule your follow-up appointments at your convenience.
What to Expect
Your first appointment is 30-60 minutes and includes a thorough health history consultation.* This allows the acupuncturist to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for our care. If it is determined that we can help you, then we will schedule you for a second appointment which will include an acupuncture treatment. However, if we determine that we can not help you, then we will do our best to refer you to someone who can.
Your second and third visits are approximately 75 minutes and include education about how Chinese medicine works followed by an acupuncture treatment. On the fourth visit, you will receive a comprehensive treatment plan so that you will know what to expect from your healing process. We address the things that are important to you such as projected results, time commitment, and financial details.
As a courtesy to our patients, our staff will call your insurance company to inquire about your acupuncture benefits. Please let us know if you are interested in using your insurance when you make the appointment.
*Since your first visit does not include an acupuncture treatment, please notify us if you are in acute or severe pain so that we may help you with the acute pain first before moving on to our new patient schedule.

Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accidents
Nourishing Medicine can service any motor vehicle accident claim as well as worker's compensation claims. As a courtesy to our patients, we take care of all the billing for you.
